Unusual Cagliari to be discovered between October and November
Autumn in Cagliari always gives us unforgettable events and experiences, perfect for those who want to experience the city in an authentic way, away from mass tourism.
From its evocative historic neighborhoods, such as Castello where our Albergo Diffuso is located, with its ancient towers and breathtaking views, to Museums such as the National Archaeological Museum where you can discover the treasures of the Nuragic civilization, as well as deserted beaches and evocative, unspoiled nature.
The months of October and November are even more special if you wish to discover Cagliari in an original way, taking advantage of events in unusual places, inspired by millennia-old stories and legends, on the occasion of Halloween, All Saints and the Feast of the Dead.
From the discovery of underground Cagliari, among crypts and tunnels, to the Monumental Cemetery of Bonaria and the ancient cemeteries of the Marina district: in this article we will give you some ideas about the experiences you can enjoy in the coming weeks, proposed by local guides during the holidays.

Cagliari among crypts, tunnels and old legends
An excursion to discover underground Cagliari, very important during the bombings of 1943, in which we will discover the Crypt of the Holy Sepulchre, located in the Marina district just a few steps from our Birkin Marina and Birkin Porto, which hides a macabre past inside, and then arrive at the Crypt of Santa Restituta, one of the city's most historically significant sites, used as a place of worship in different historical phases until being an air raid shelter in '43. The tour will end in the Galleria dei Salesiani, excavated in the 1800s and used as a shelter during World War II.
This is also one of the experiences we offer to our guests every day thanks to Arasolè's guides.

Ghosts in Castle
Have you ever participated in a ghost-themed urban trek? Apparently Castello is home to quite a few, and on Halloween night it will be possible to encounter some thanks to the route that winds through the streets of the neighborhood and intends to touch on places where mysterious apparitions are said to occur, such as the monastery of St. Catherine. Starting point of the trek is Arsenale Square to end at the Church of St. Cross.
